Recycle Week – June 22nd – June 28th
Recycling is a great way to ease the burden of mankind’s activities on Planet Earth, and easier to accomplish than you might think- even with your used Yin Yang Skincare packaging.
This year, the theme for Recycle Week is ‘let’s waste less…‘ encouraging all of us to try something new in an effort to go greener and cut back on the waste we all produce.
From recycling more of everyday items like glass and plastic bottles to reusing carrier bags or composting at home, there are lots of opportunities to promote how we can all reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill.
Recycling Opportunities with Aluminium
At Yin Yang we want to draw your attention to the recycling opportunities with aluminium. Why? Well here are 3 reasons:
These three pure botanical skincare products are packaged in aluminium – because this can be recycled – and recycled – and recycled, infinitely.
“Recycle Week is now in its fifth year and this is the first time we’ll be promoting a waste reduction message” said Jane Hall from Recycle Now. “As part of this we’re encouraging people to sign up and pledge to either try something new or do more of what we already do”.
Yin Yang Skincare urges its customers to put their used Yin Yang aluminium containers into a recycling centre as their contribution to Recycling Week. Consider the facts about recycling aluminium:
- Recycling uses only 5% of the energy needed to make aluminium from its raw material, bauxite - that’s a 95% energy saving. Aluminium products are infinitely recyclable, so when you get into the recycling habit you really do help save natural resources
- The quality of recycled aluminium is maintained to such a high standard that there are secure and growing end-markets for the metal
- Well-presented aluminium drinks cans are still worth up to £600 per tonne, and aluminium is by far the most valuable packaging material in everyday use
There are around 300 Cash for Cans centres across the UK, where you can sell your aluminium cans for cash, and help grow fruit trees in Malawi. All the aluminium cans and foil bought by Cash for Cans centres counts towards the tree growing programme. It’s something you can do for other people - and the environment – just by recycling your Yin Yang Skincare aluminium containers. See the links below for details of recycling centres.
