The Importance of Water
One of the aspects of living in the UK is that the weather is unpredictable. Last April and early May was warm and sunny (we picked roses) this year it was the wettest since records began in 1910. Fourteen years ago I moved to Beechgrove Farm for the Cotswold location, the right habitat for a Mediterranean herb garden and the private pure spring water supply pumped up from a clear stream running 300 feet below the level of the farm. Initially there was a lot to do to repair the system to give a continuous supply of the water. It needed some fascinating detective work to find and mend numerous leaks but although it took time and effort, it was worth it, as the water tests clean and pure.
