Spring is here April is an exciting month in the herb garden and this year it is particularly advanced with the blue borage flowers out 2 to 3 months earlier than usual. One of the aspects of living in the UK is that the weather is unpredictable. Last April and early May was warm and sunny (we picked roses) this year it was the wettest since records began in 1910. Fourteen years ago I moved to Beechgrove Farm for the Cotswold location, the right habitat for a Mediterranean herb garden and the private pure spring water supply pumped up from a clear stream running 300 feet below the level of the farm.
